Habeas Chorus and BottledSnail Productions is delighted to present Benjamin Britten’s iconic Ceremony of Carols; one of the greatest and often-performed choral works of the 20th century, consisting of settings of old English texts set for mixed voices and harp. Surrounding this extraordinary piece of music we bring to you a selection of Christmas music from around the globe, including songs from Ukraine, France, the USA and Australia. Join us once again at Collins Street Baptist Church for an afternoon of reverent, joyous and eclectic music fit to welcome in the festive season.
BottledSnail Productions and the Law Library of Victoria invite you to join them for a special twilight concert featuring vocal and instrumental performances by members of the legal profession. This concert in the stunning Law Library will feature Habeas Chorus and members of the cast of BottledSnail's upcoming major musical. The concert will also feature instrumental performances from Aimee Nguyen and Xinyu Zhang on violin, Jonathan Xian on piano and Jennifer Lindstrom on flute.
Tickets are $15.00 and all profits from the concert will be donated to the Tristan Jepson Memorial Foundation.

Habeas Chorus' first concert season for 2017 sees them join forces with Melbourne's premier vocal ensemble, The Consort of Melbourne, for a performance of two very special works. Dan Walker's celebrated Mass of Deliverance is a mass for the modern age; a reflection of not only our suffering, our heartache and loss, but also of the beauty and power of humanity, and our ability to come together to help others in times of need. Habeas Chorus is delighted to present the Melbourne premiere of this stunning work alongside Australian film composer Christopher Gordon's dynamic and uplifting Peace on Earth, and a bracket of beautiful shorter works by The Consort of Melbourne.
